Design
Maud has a massive wooden table top, which is fixed between two blue steel legs. The legs are U-shaped and are attached in a way that the wooden top can still expand. The whole looks robust and shows simplicity at the same time.
Used materials
The table is made of polder olive ash, a tree which is planted by the Forest Service, after the drainage of the Noordoostpolder and Flevoland. The frame of the dining table is made of blue steel.
Tailor made options
The dining table can be sized to your wishes, as well in width and length, as in height. The finishing of the table top is decided after consultation. You can choose for lacquer (clear -, transparent - or coloured lacquer) or for oil.
This table can also be delivered in watered elm. Watered elm wood has stayed in the water for a longer period, whereby the growth liquids are extracted from the wood. After this period, the wood is dried vertically. This treatment ensures very little colour difference between the sapwood and the heartwood, because the wood has rested for a longer period. Modern wood varieties on the contrary, are made ready for use in a short period.
